The team skated against the Wings for the first time in the Northern Virginia Adult Hockey League and posted a 2-2 tie. Guardians put a slew of shots on the goalie for the Wings and currently hold the record for the NVAHL with 49 shots. The forwards certainly brought the offense that night. Goal scorers were Golembiewski and Lawrence with assists from Distefano and Puranen. On the defensive side Griff seen 29 shots which puts him in the division lead currently for highest save percentage .931 and fewest goals against average 1.73. Griff already proving he is in mid-season form!! With the good comes the bad the team posted a division record high of 18 penalty minutes. The Guardians next opponent is the Jets!
Due to the Capital Clubhouse League not having enough teams to play in the winter session the team was forced to look elsewhere. The team has found a new league to skate in at the Mt. Vernon Rec Center. However the Capital Clubhouse will still be the home for the team. The new schedule is posted for the new league please check it out.
